Web Resources
Here's a list of tutorials, guides, and other useful stuff that I use frequently in my day to day life.
Website building
Sadgrl.online
I would not have been able to make my own website without Sadgrl's step by step CSS and HTML guide.
W3 Schools
Another really useful website. Has a bunch of advanced CSS techniques you can use for website creation. It has other code tutorials as well that I haven't touched yet.
Webcode Tools
Allows you to preview cool different types of CSS and HTML and generate the code used in order to put it on your website.
Unused Css
Another site that has some cool css tips and tricks that you can use on your site. The website also offers the ability to strip out unnecessary parts of your css code to make it run faster.
Word To HTML
I use this when writing my blog entries! it's essentially a rich text editor that will convert what you type into HTML formatting with the click of a button.
Hero Patterns
A great free resource for repeating backgrounds.
Seamless Pattern Generator
Quick way to make repeating background patterns out of your own images without opening an image editor.
Pattern Monster
Another place to get repeating backgrounds for your webpage.
Free Commercial Use Fonts
Font Squirrel
Filled with hand picked freeware fonts that are copyright free. The website also has a free webfont generator and a font identifier.
Fonts Arena
A majority of the fonts on this website are copyright free, with easy to read guidelines for anything with a more specific license.
Blambot
Fonts specifically made for comics and illustrative work. The free fonts can be used for indie comics and indie comic merchandise without repercussion.
Fonts In Use
Shows you specific fonts out in the wild as well as explains where they're from.
Art Tutorials and Resources
Adorkastock
Formerly Shenshistock. It's a stock photography group with a focus on cool poses for illustrations/comics. It's been around for over 15 years.
Love Life Drawing
Full of tutorials and references to help you learn how to draw the human figure better. I'm also going to link a handy piece of forshortening reference from the site here.
Animal Reference Art
A library of animal heads in different angles. You can choose an angle by positioning the animal skull on the left side of the screen.
Ctrl Paint
Digital Art tutorials and tips about rendering and optimizing your workflow.
2D Will Never Die
I thought this website was gone! It's got a bunch of cool pixel art tutorials geared more for larger pieces (like fighting game sprites).
Lospec
An extremely useful collection of pixel art tutorials, palettes, and basic resources.
Video Games
Universal Hint System
If you're stuck in a game and don't want to follow a walkthrough, this site can give you a push in the right direction. You can get bigger hints as well if the first one wasn't enough.
Thonky.com
I hate looking up Animal Crossing guides and getting stuff from random game news sites. I use this site instead every time. Is it because I'm petty and miss the days when all we had was game FAQ sites? Yes.
Nook Plaza
I use this for giving clothing gifts to my villagers in ACNH for maximum friendship points.
The LP Archive
Some of my favorite Let's Plays of all time are on this website, before all the cool people realized Something Awful was a cesspool and jumped ship. There's still new LPs being made all the time though, so maybe you'll find a new one you like?
Let's Play Zone
The spiritual successor to Something Awful's LP forum, made by some of the people that jumped ship.
